Travel Tip #1: When visiting large cities, be sure to do some research prior to the trip so you don't miss out on something great.
I'm all for spontaneity, but sometimes a plan is nice. At least in the beginning. Around 3, my group got bored and decided to head back to Metz, which is a fast (and cheap) train ride away. However, another student and I decided to hang back and wonder around a bit longer. We happened to get lost and stumble upon a small neighborhood tucked away in the valley. Here, we saw more history and experienced more of a local atmosphere then anywhere else on the city streets. Awesome.
Travel Tip #2: Get lost EVERYWHERE (....and run away if things start to look sketchy).
